Overview:
The Assistant Technical Designer will work closely with both the Design and Product Development Team, overseeing all aspects of Technical Design to ensure accuracy of product measurements, quality, and construction. They will participate in daily tasks, including but not limited to measuring garments, assisting in fittings, and sending fit comments to oversea vendors.
What you’ll do:
- Help create and update tech packs (TPs) in conjunction with Design- including construction, measurements and grading, using Illustrator, Excel and Rhone’s PLM tools
- Attend fit sessions and make detailed fit comments and revisions
- Communicate with the Product Development Team to call out issues which may prevent timely fit and quality approval that impact deliveries
- Work with our Oversea Partner Specialists to resolve issues
- Review sample submits and make accurate comments
- Measure garments, and review garment construction and workmanship
- Organization of sample room, as it relates to Proto Samples & PPS
- Track Proto & PP Samples, and communicate delays w/ the necessary teams
- Perform other technical design related duties, as needed
