Our client, a fast-growing, established DTC apparel brand, is seeking an experienced Technical Designer who recognizes how important fit is to the sale of the garment and the attachment to the customer. Must have experience fitting and working within a performance/active lifestyle brand for dual gender in a high-energy, collaborative environment working directly with the VP of Design. This is an in-person role (5 days in office) and not a WFH work schedule. Responsibilities:

Work in all categories and fabrications – stretch knits, fleece, bottoms, outerwear, wovens – and know all of the material properties and attributes and how they work in a silhouette and behave on the body

Work in both men’s and women’s product

Track fit samples and status

Schedule and running the fittings

Spec garments and recording findings

Updating tech packs and BOMs

Check garments for QC issues

Establish and confirm grading for approved styles

Communicate with vendors and resources

Hold vendors to the highest level of compliance for spec, grading, and construction related issues

Meet deadlines and follow the product calendar to meet deadlines and deliverables

Qualifications:

Experience running the technical design function

Drawing skills on Illustrator (flat sketches a must)

Organized and a meticulous record keeper

Computer skills (Microsoft Office, PDM, Photoshop, Google suite)

Excellent communication skills for both internal and external pattern corrections through images and numbers to overseas factories

Understand pattern making

Experience on PLM programs (Yunique is a plus)
