Technical Designer (Technical Designer (Mandarin Chinese language fluency)

Mon Cheri Bridals, LLC, a leading social occasion dress manufacturer, seeks an experienced Technical Designer to join their growing team. We are looking to add experienced, energized, and enthusiastic new team members who like the challenge of working in a fast-paced environment.

Overview:

The Technical Designer role will be fast-paced and liaise between the Quality Control and design team to achieve extraordinary product standards and meet customer expectations.

Duties:

• Fit meeting prep and arranging samples
• Assisting in fit meetings to identify any fit issues and make fit and construction notes
• Manage test reports
• Manage approved samples
• Assist in communicating with overseas vendors when appropriate
• Manage wear trial samples and feedback
• Support internal teams such as customer service, and wholesale teams with specifications

Requirements:

• Mandarin Chinese language fluency is a must
• Fashion Design or related College degree, coupled with a passion for women’s formalwear
• Understanding of components and constructions is must
• Must be able to sketch technical formalwear drawings
• Knowledge of development process
• Technically competent with software programs
• Knowledge of synthetic materials and leathers
• Understand design aesthetic and translate it into appropriate product presentations
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
