A leading textile design company is seeking a full time Designer for their NYC office. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience working within the design industry with an impressive portfolio. This role will be primarily focused on designing mostly for the demographic of young kids to tween and designing for Bedding, decorative pillows, slumber category, throws, blankets, bright color pallets, cute whimsical designs and tween licensed.

The position is completely on-site, in office M-F 9am - 5 pm in NYC

Responsibilities:

Design for all licensed brands and Openline (non-licensed)
Design for all products including bed, bath, beach and novelty items.
Create presentation boards for sales team to promote products.
Set up sheets for production.
Meet tight deadlines for presentations and production.
Factory set up and send out files to factories for production.
Send out design files for approval to the licensees.

Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years design experience. Ideally from a textile related background - Home or apparel
Effective communication skills with internal/external teams
Organized, thrives on multiple projects working in fast-paced environment, self-motivated, keeps work moving
Proactive problem solver and critical thinker, strong attention to detail, can work effectively under pressure
