Designer position for a major Soft Home company (kitchen linens, bedding, sheets, pillows, towels, etc.) for someone with industry experience and very strong Illustrator and Photoshop skills. Preference is for Kitchen & Tabletop experience. Some bedding and bath are good as well. A resume link to portfolio is important.Position is in office in central NJ.

Responsibilities:

Create original artwork for kitchen, tabletop, bedding and bath product lines, including both brands and private label
Manage design process from inspiration to production ready factory specs
CAD Designing
Execute print repeats, color separate, recolor and match color
Participate in design and trend research, identifying new trends, techniques, color ideas and product concepts

Required Skills:

Extensive original design/illustration skills not utilizing style guides or stock images (must be able to show in portfolio
5-7 years' experience in design for soft home textiles
ExcellentPhotoshop and Illustrator skills
Understanding of print process and limitation as well as product construction
Solid understanding of color theory, must have a good eye for color matching
Must be a versatile, self-motivated, innovative individual who pays close attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and meet/exceed deadlines
Eager to remain up-to-speed on design trends in consumer home market
