Textile/Print Designer

• Translate and interpret current trends to create original prints for sleepwear.
• Design all over, engineered and placement prints.
• Color match, generate and update digital color palettes.
• Work closely with design team to set concept, color, and print direction consistent with brand strategies.
• Ability to communicate print and color direction to design team.
• Color all artwork to seasonal palette specifications; create repeats of prints.
• Scan, clean and create repeats from purchased art work.
• Color separate and prepare detail artwork packages for factory.
• Communicate with the overseas offices.
• Research current trends in print design and color.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Textiles & Surface Design or related degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of related work experience.
• Demonstrated experience designing original prints by hand and using Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Must be able interpret florals, intricate paisleys, watercolor techniques, and textures within prints.
• Advanced technical skills using Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Possess a strong sense of color/print.
• Experience working with print vendors.
• Ability to communicate print and color direction to design team.
• Ability to work at a fast pace and adhere to a design development calendar.
