The North Face: Senior Packaging Designer (Global)
The Senior Packaging Designer is responsible for the on brand conceptualization and execution of TNF hang tags and packaging across all business lines and experiences. You will report into the Senior Manager, Branding & Packaging. This role will deliver world class packaging and visual content, leading team to elevate our DTC experience and across wholesale partners. They are responsible for identifying trends in materials and printing techniques that align with the creative vision for the brand. This role will partner with packaging developers and vendors to pioneer and commercialize innovative concepts. The Senior Packaging Designer is responsible for the coordination, monitoring, tracking and communicating development projects to counterparts through the complete development cycle, and ensure developments are in alignment and support business and brand initiatives.
How You Will Make a Difference:- Responsible for identifying seasonal trends in packaging materials that align with the creative vision for brand.
- Develop the overall aesthetic and creative execution of TNF hang tags and packaging in keeping with the strong brand ethos.
- Maintain and update the Packaging Brand Guidelines to establish design-related brand standards to ensure consistency.
- Oversee the development of the Packaging System Masters and Mechanicals
- Lead the development of seasonal materials strategy with developers
- Responsible for calendarizing and partnering with packaging developers to ensure commercialization of materials in time for prototype and bulk production.
- Build partnership with work cross functionally over all product categories including brand marketing and design, graphic design, and sustainability.
- Degree in Graphic Design, Packaging design, Visual Communications, Illustration, or Industrial design, or equivalent experience
- 7+ years of creative experience in design within the retail, fashion, or agency environment
- Deep understanding of design and design trends
- Demonstrate proficiency in design software by creating layouts and concept presentations.
- Working knowledge of the following creative suites: Adobe InDesign CS2, Adobe Photoshop CS2, Adobe Illustrator CS2, Font Management Software, QuarkXPress 6.0
- Proven talent and excellence in graphic composition and typography and innovative design solutions.
- Understanding of testing protocol and practices
- Fluent in English, any other language is a plus
- Strong business awareness and accountability to budget
- Understanding of design and development process from inception through production
- Excellent collaboration skills and an ability to manage multiple timelines and deadlines

Pay Range:
$88,128.00 USD - $132,192.00 USD annually
Incentive Potential:
