The Visual Merchandiser Assistant is responsible for assisting with the showroom floor displays. These must be done with finesse for color, balance, and effective use of space. The employee will maintain a close working relationship with the sales associates and management to assure product pricing is current, merchandise rotation happens in a timely manner, and strategies for new interior designs are implemented.



  • Responsible for assisting with the overall presentation of merchandise and showroom displays.

  • Performs daily walk-through for the orderly display of showroom, identification of sold items and missing tags, and takes required action.

  • Assist senior merchandiser in everyday product merchandising activities.

  • Assists with the placement of pictures, accessories, and lamps throughout the showroom.

  • Install and dismantle displays to showcase new products and/or to reflect seasonal themes

  • Assist with merchandise transfers for showroom displays from all warehouse locations.

  • Responsible for creations and placement of hang tags, small and large benefit tags for showroom items.

  • Assists with customer pick-ups with wrapping and loading.

  • Assists sales associates with home décor and interior design.

  • Works with sales associates regarding discontinuing items and product changes.

  • Works with management for merchandise rotation and recommends strategies.

  • Maintains positive relationships with buyers, vendors, and sales representatives to assist management.

  • You may maintain and update spreadsheets, purchase orders, and sales reports.

  • Projects will be in alignment with the company culture, products, image, and target market

  • Liaising with upper management to ensure that the requirements are being met

  • Sourcing the necessary props, materials, and accessories required

  • Continually seeking opportunities to make improvements

  • The position is full-time and requires a flexible work schedule which may include weekends.

  • Requires lifting of boxes, accessory items, upholstery items, case good items, or other store items.

  • Must be able to lift 30lbs.

  • Able to use Box Cutters safely.

  • Able to go up and down ladders.

  • Normal office/sales environment with minimal exposure to excessive noise, dust, temperature, or other environmental elements.

  • The work environment includes working in the warehouse, stock room, store sales floors, sitting at a desk, standing at the work station, and operating a keyboard, phone, and other office equipment.


  • A degree in Visual Merchandising or Interior Design and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.



8:30 am - 4:30 pm Tuesday--Saturday, OFF - Sunday and Monday
