Position Summary

As our full time Field Visual Merchandiser for a leading retailer of athletic footwear, apparel and accessories, your goal is to provide product, marketing and window presentation expertise to 2 of the retailer’s New York City flagship locations. If you have the skills to support a dynamic retail image and work with visual merchandising directives as well as the visual merchandising team to ensure the highest standards of visual & marketing presentations are reflected at all times, then you’d be a great fit for our team. Communication & Documentation

Communicate accomplishments, opportunities & needs on a daily basis (for both locations) to main corporate point of contact and in form or store visit report
Location Visits
Location visits will be pre-determined by main client point of contact on a weekly basis (note that adjustments may be made based on location priorities)
Timely visit arrival and communication with main contact and store manager
Checklist assessment review
Merchandising, Marketing and Window implementation
Review all changes
Complete Daily Store Visit Report within 24 hours of visit

Requirements

Must be an outgoing, team player with the ability to manage multiple projects with minimal direction.
5+ Years of prior retail visual merchandising experience with footwear & apparel experience required
Strong visual merchandising and organizational skills
Ability to work with various teams and store functions.
Understanding of special organization and ability to read floor plan layouts and directives
Understanding of retail environments and standard processes
Ability to comprehend visual merchandising plans and translate into appropriate solutions
Ability to function and be productive in an ever changing environment, flexibility is KEY
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Reliable transportation
Intermediate to advanced computer skills (Excel, email, digital photography, Word)
Access to computer and digital camera – high speed internet strongly recommended
A Smartphone and/or tablet device is desirable but not required
Some local travel required. Flexible work schedule a plus.

Physical Ability

Standing, walking – ability to be on your feet for hours at a time
Lifting approximately 50 pounds (example: mannequins) and reaching and climbing a ladder
