The Visual Merchandiser - Campaigns position assists with the management of visual merchandising projects specific to campaign presentation s and seasonal merchandising within our stores . Th is position c reates and communicates campaign direction in c ollaborat i on with our Creative , Online, Buying and Presentation teams. This position ensur es all related fixtures, graphics, signs and props support the overall campaign marketing objective in-store ; and they collaborate with our Visual Merchandis ers to ensure consistent merchandising practices follow our everyday product presentation .

Responsibilities

  • Works with Visual Merchandising Campaign Project Manager to initiate and direct merchandising of product spotlight presentation, headers and store specific displays, inclusive of multiple store formats, windows, ledges, niches and other opportunities
  • Develops presentation concepts and collaborates closely with Visual Merchandising Presentation team in all details
  • Interprets store specific comps into computer illustrations using Space Planning and Photoshop tools
  • Formats campaign direction that is communicated is to stores via InDesign
  • Partners with the Visual Merchandising Presentation team, Visual Merchandisers, Visual Merchandising Campaign Project Manager and Creative to ensure a consistent look in-store with merchandising, fixtures, signs, props and graphics
  • Partners with Visual Merchandising Campaign Project Manager, Visual Merchandising Presentation team and Creative on graphic approaches, materials and in-store graphic execution
  • Keeps all campaign files and information within MMS Campaign Manager current and timely per deadlines, as well communicating presentation details to Merchandise Planning for proper seasonal allocation and replenishment
  • Keeps current on all product information, merchandising memos/directives and marketing plans, as well as all store layouts and store specific changes/needs
  • Request s quotes and purchase orders in a timely manner

Qualifications

  • College degree preferred
  • 3 years+ retail, visual, display or design experience preferred
  • Based in Dallas/Ft. Worth area
  • Ability to travel 10% a year, based on the business needs
  • Proficient with software programs including Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Ability to learn and become proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, etc.) and internal Merchandise Management System Modules
  • Merchandising and visual presentation skills with a strong visual “eye”, attention to detail and creative thinking
  • Ability to interpret and develop creative direction within goals of campaign and merchandising standards of The Container Store
  • Awareness of budget; ability to track and manage expenses
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
