This role is responsible for preparing analysis and maintaining planograms which strengthen our customer’s sales performance. The Analyst role supports Retail Merchandising Manager with corporate and customer specific projects. This position will work directly with vendor and customer contacts providing technical merchandising support by utilizing data resources to create strategies which maximize product movement.

Essential Functions

  • Analyze and develop customer specific recommendations on product mix, promotion, and shelf schematic arrangements (planograms).
  • Help assess and identify customer, brand, and category opportunities.
  • Solve problems through data analysis and reporting. Prepare analytical approaches to facilitate selling functions.
  • Prepare periodic reporting and analysis of performance.
  • Establish and maintain an effective level of communication and coordination with all appropriate internal, customer, and supplier contacts.


  • Must possess excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must have excellent computer skills.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Hours listed are general hours and may be altered as needed. Additional hours may be required to fulfill job duties and position expectations.

Education and Experience

  • Must have the verbal, quantitative, and interpersonal skills normally acquired through the completion of a bachelor’s degree and Five-plus (5+) years’ experience in purchasing/marketing/sales within the wholesale/retail business.
  • JDA experience preferred
