Visual Merchandiser, the Americas

Reports to: Director of Visual Merchandising & Retail Projects, the Americas

Overview: The Visual Merchandiser will execute and maintain the highest standards of Visual Merchandising, following global guidelines, while ensuring consistency across retail and concessions. They will provide support at the boutique level, reinforcing visual standards and providing ongoing VM support to drive sales and uphold the brand identity.


• Responsible for the execution and support of visual merchandising in the US, Canada, and Mexico boutiques.

• Adapt Global VM standards in-store to meet each boutique’s individual needs. • Conduct boutique visits and travel to boutiques to execute VM rotations and provide VM training to the teams.

• Travel to boutiques in NY Metro 2x monthly, Northeast monthly and South quarterly – with additional travel throughout the Americas ad-hoc.

• Review best seller reports and On-Hand inventory levels ensuring optimum use of the product to increase sales in boutiques. • Implement floor sets with excellent skill, creating cohesive fashion stories.

• Facilitate communication and touch bases with field teams, collect VM photos remotely and provide guidance and feedback. Ensure execution of direction and standards.

• Manage respective regions VM reports and communication log - upload/archive all VM photos and reports.

• Partner with Regional Directors and boutique managers, to successfully support current business trends with visual needs as they arise.

• Provide regular reports to Director of VM of visual status in the boutiques – evaluating and summarizing visible assortment, store improvements and recommendations.

• Oversee local regions window installations to ensure smooth execution.

• Assist in developing Seasonal VM Directives for the region.

• Assist in sourcing local florists, ensuring directives and budget are followed and product is delivered to standard.

• Manage VM Prop Inventory organization, collecting orders and facilitating maintenance of props. • Consistently stay up to date on current luxury market VM trends and creatively problem solve to better display product.

• Support new store openings, special event setups, and responsible for the merchandising of the showroom for market and press days.

• Comfortable acting as a Brand Ambassador, supporting sales/stock when in the boutique, as needed.


• 3-5 years of Retail Visual Merchandising experience in a multi-store luxury retail environment.

• Degree in Visual Merchandising, Fashion Marketing, or equivalent work experience. • Ability to travel up to 70% of the time with flexibility.

• Strong visual merchandising skills and aesthetic, with strong attention to detail.

• Ability to follow direction and receptive to constructive feedback.

• Proactive thinker with the capability to problem solve and act independently.

• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written; follows professional presentation.

• Strong follow up, follow through needed; shows initiative, ability to meet deadlines.

• Proficient with Microsoft applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams, Photoshop.)

• Adheres to company policy and confidentiality - is a true ambassador for the brand with strong sense of corporate responsibility - setting the standard.

• Team player in both retail and corporate environments, “no task is too big or too small” attitude; is committed, positive, and reliable.

In accordance with the New York City Commission on Human Rights and in compliance with the Salary Transparency Law, Christian Louboutin envisions the general compensation range for this position to be $65,000- $75,000 per YEAR.

*This range is NOT inclusive of other forms of compensation or benefits such as commissions, overtime, discretionary bonus, health insurance, retirement savings or paid leaves of absence.
