Visual Merchandising Coordinator

The Visual Merchandising Coordinator will support the creation of brand-right, elevated customer experience at our North America stores. This highly collaborative role demands a unique blend of creative thinking, visual storytelling, and detailed execution. This individual is a key collaborator for developing efficient team processes and managing deliverable timelines. The ideal candidate will be skilled in balancing attention to detail with aesthetic perspective to create successful near- and long-term strategies.



  • Create achievable workflows to deliver monthly and seasonal direction on time
  • Manage all aspects of store assortments, including tracking of dropped styles and late deliveries to provide strategic pivots where necessary
  • Lead meeting calendar for internal and cross-functional teams
  • Provide operational support for new store openings

Creative Strategy

  • Build in-store presentations and documents that communicate the direction and execution of monthly floorsets
  • Integrate knowledge of Visual Merchandising best practices to elevate Filson stores to a best-in-class consumer experience
  • Develop visual standards and training to build store team skillsets


  • Build, format, and maintain visual documents for store direction and cross-functional alliance
  • Support internal alignment through meeting recaps, follow-ups, and the establishment of feedback loops
  • Manage VM communication with stores

Skills For Success

  • 3+ years of experience in Visual Merchandising; blend of Retail and Corporate experience a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative software
  • Experience in executing Visual Merchandising initiatives, including window displays, mannequin styling, and campaign installations within the retail store environment
  • Experience building out documents/templates as a frame for strategic work and project execution
  • Understanding of retail business structure – process, goals, reporting, and analysis
  • Passion for improving processes with an eagerness to learn
  • Willingness to process feedback in a positive and solution-oriented way
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with flexibility and persistence
  • Self-motivated and detail oriented
  • Excellent time management
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time

Special Physical And/or Mental Requirements

  • Regular travel expected for market visits, new store openings, and refits
  • Regular lifting of objects up to 30 lbs
