Visual Merchandising Coordinator-Hybrid
As the Visual Merchandising Coordinator, you will be responsible for presenting Johnston & Murphy products in store environments according to the J&M guidelines to maximize sales with the guidance and direction of the Sr. Visual Merchandising Manager as well as the Marketing, Merchandising & Store Operations teams. This includes soliciting window display information, coordinating sample needs, display set-up, photography, and formulating communication documents regarding the visual display & floor-set process. Referencing store floor plans, marketing calendars, sales reporting, and other resources along with time management and attention to detail will be key to your success.
Job Responsibilities- Solicits window display information, coordinates sample needs, completes presentation set-up, shoots required photography, and documents memos, floor sets & planograms for selected area of focus.
- Supports the Sr. Visual Merchandising Manager in developing seasonal display plans, props & signs to maximize sales with focus on key seasonal product in focal display areas.
- Develops strong working relationships across departments & store teams to support development of visuals across the Brand.
- Collaborates with key team members across departments in initiatives.
- Develops & trains stores in Visual Merchandising guidelines.
- Maintains office visual displays, visual sample room and inventory.
- Manages distribution lists & the sign library for selected area of focus.
- Manages communication to the field through e-mail, brand social media platform, and store visits.
- Manages daily sign & fixture fulfillments while following up to assure they arrive in a timely manner.
- Ships required marketing elements & supports in-store set-up for store openings.
- Manages own travel budget.
- Processes & audits invoices.
- Actively participates in weekly construction & marketing staff meetings.
- Supports in other miscellaneous projects as needed.
- Bachelor or Associate degree in Visual Merchandising, Fashion Merchandising, or Interior Design preferred.
- 3+ years of retail visual merchandising experience required with hands-on mannequin and floor set detailing experience (corporate level preferred, but not mandatory).
- Strong creative visual merchandising & story telling skills with emphasis on apparel & footwear.
- The ability to drive business using current fashion trends while maintaining focus on commerciality of display.
- Portfolio indicating past visual experience and an understanding of mannequin dressing & window presentations.
- Proficiency in MS Office & Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop & Illustrator) preferred.
- Photography experience is a plus.
- Possesses high energy, sense of urgency, strong positive attitude & passion for the Brand.

- Capable of working with tools to execute display set-ups.
- Occasional travel required.
