The Visual Merchandising Lead directs all space planning, floor planning, store environment and in-store marketing activity. This position interacts with many cross-functional teams to set clear goals around project coordination and execution. They develop planograms and in-store presentation layouts, optimizing customer experience and coordinating in-store marketing, leading the visual experience of the stores to drive engagement and sales. This will include the coordination for new stores cross functionally with both internal and external partners. They evaluate space optimization, analytics and performance to ensure space is maximized, driving key financial goals. This position is a leader in developing the Visual Merchandising sets and related tasks, in partnership with the Merchandise Presentation Director and the special projects Team. The Visual Merchandising Lead will also support visual merchandising execution across all planograms, with a heavy focus on driving sales results through data accuracy and assortment optimization.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the creation of planograms and floor plans to drive inventory and financial goals. Develops and implements with an emphasis on accuracy, attention to detail, and an inquisitive mindset. Maintains product data integrity as it relates to the Visual Merchandising process and develops exception reporting to validate. Partners to develop fixture needs to better utilize store space and drive customer experience, coordinating with appropriate partners.
  • Translates visual and project strategy into tactical execution plans. Creates, edits and monitors project timelines as required. Collaborates with cross-functional teams and effectively communicates and coordinates in order to achieve goals. Understands financial goals and applies to execution required in store.
  • Partners cross-functionally to bring seasonal and promotional presentations to life, delivering consumer-focused execution in stores that meet or exceed financial and inventory goals, including coordination with in-store marketing. Manages the close out process, coordination and execution cross-functionally.
  • Provides reporting and recommendations based upon analysis of data/results to drive business decisions and achieve company goals.

    Utilizes accuracy and attention to detail while looking for opportunities to innovate customer centric approach to merchandise layouts and marketing in store.

    Demonstrates insatiable curiosity and thirst for learning with a capacity for growth mindset.

  • Responsible for store support and acts with a strong sense of urgency, anticipating customer needs; takes responsibility for finding lasting solutions to difficult problems. Acts as a champion and advocate for the stores in collaboration with all departments.

Profile

Qualifications

  • 3+ years in visual merchandising experience, with a preferred background in strong aesthetic and visual design experience.
  • 2+ years of project coordination experience including measurement, reporting and financial analysis, partner management and timeline accuracy.
  • 2+ years of analytical experience, demonstrating skills in report creation and evaluation on space to sales within space-planning, floor planning, store design and product placement based, leveraging shopper-based decision trees.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Suite including: Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, and/or CREDENTIALS:

  • Experience in JDA Space Planning, Floor Planning and Category Management software. JDA certifications preferred..
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Merchandising, Visual Merchandising, or related field.
  • Experience in a tier 1 retailer; involved in process for new stores, store layout, planograms and floor plans.
