Responsible for overseeing strategic visual merchandising and floor plan projects for all Brands including managing in-case display programs and budgets.


  • Collaborate with Brand Marketing and the Merchandising departments on merchandising floor plan and customer flow for best sales results. Assist brands with developing sales analysis to measure effectiveness of linear floor plan designs, etc.
  • Manage linear fixturing application with visual team and store planning for proper execution
  • Oversee the process of designing appropriate display systems and custom programs for all Brands, according to customer profile and company objectives. Collaborate with Visual Managers to assure Brand goals and objectives are being met in this area
  • Direct in-case merchandising with the visual team. Oversee big-picture objectives as they apply to all planograms
  • Teach and train visual merchandising staff members the art of in-case display, product sorting and segmentation for maximum impact and sales results
  • Manage vendor relations, to include but not limited to, timelines, design development and submissions, bid processes, manufacturing, etc
  • Manage budget related to specific capital project numbers agreed upon at the beginning of each fiscal year. Manage PDR and vendor supported budgets as they directly apply to in-case display programs
  • Control negotiations, bids and approvals for packaging, fixtures and display items. Oversee PO request approvals to maintain strict budget adherence. Establish budget-reporting procedures with all Visual Managers and Purchasing
  • Maintain strong visual standards according to image and appeal of each Brand. Collaborate with each Brand, Merch Mgr, and the Marketing Department on all promotional boxes and special programs


This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Signet guidelines, policies and procedures and applicable laws. Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

  • Four year college degree in Art, Art History, Design or Advertising
  • Minimum 7 years experience in Visual Merchandising, Commercial Interior Design, or related area
  • Read and understand store architectural plans
  • Read, understand and develop floor plans and merchandising planograms
  • Ability to design to scale
  • Understand store flow and visual merchandising standards and practices
  • Advanced project management (preferably Agile Project Management) and ability to manage across departmental or brand teams
  • Ability to lead and collaborate with departmental colleagues
