The RoleThe Visual Merchandising Manager, in partnership with Global Visual Merchandising and reporting to the Sr. Director of North America Retail, assumes a key leadership role in enhancing the customers' experience and driving sales across all North American stores (UGG, HOKA). By fostering consistency and excellence in visual execution, this role elevates the brand's appeal through coaching, training, and developing store teams. The Visual Merchandising Manager collaborates closely with store teams to optimize top-line financial and KPI results, addressing unique challenges posed by store size, type, volume, spatial constraints, and inventory levels.
In addition to playing a pivotal role in store-level success, the Visual Merchandising Manager serves as the ambassador and communicator of global brand messaging, concepts, and initiatives. This position involves regular travel to provide hands-on support to stores within the region and contribute to successful new store openings.

- Enhancing Visual Execution: Oversee and maintain the consistency and quality of visual displays in North American stores, ensuring a positive impact on customer experience and driving sales growth.
- Create Captivating Visual Displays: Adapt Global assets and align with the North American region's budget to optimize window displays, hero moments, and interior setups, engaging store teams to identify improvement opportunities. Support regional creative production by managing communication of creative briefs, layout plans, product placement, and coordination with the Global Visual team.
- Monitor and Ensure Compliance: Oversee the implementation of window designs and internal store merchandising according to Deckers’s standards and directions in collaboration with Global Visual Merchandising. Regularly visit stores in key markets across the region to monitor displays and provide inspiring and motivational feedback to store teams.
- Support Store Management: Partner closely with store management to coach and train store staff on visual standards, display maintenance, guidelines, and product launches, ensuring consistent visual displays and execution throughout the North American region.
- Resolving Store-Specific Challenges: Collaborate with store teams to identify and address unique merchandising challenges, adapting displays to suit individual store characteristics and needs.
- Drive Regional Initiatives: Provide visual merchandising support for new store openings, events, special projects, and pop-up concepts, managing the coordination and implementation of floor moves and special projects in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Stay Ahead of Market Trends: Keep abreast of internal and external VM best practices and market trends, providing valuable input and feedback to the Global Visual team and North America Operations team.
- Build Collaborative Relationships: Cultivate strong working relationships with internal cross-functional business partners, including Global Visual Merchandising, Global Retail Operations, NA Field Leadership, Merchandising and Brand Marketing, to achieve collective goals.
- Performance Analysis: Regularly assess visual merchandising performance and its impact on key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial results.
- Strong knowledge of footwear/apparel retail business and markets.
- Strong analytical, written, and verbal skills.
- Comfortable working with ambiguity and/or changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to manage and deliver large scale projects across a large number of locations simultaneously.
- Brings a solution orientated approach to challenges and roadblocks that may impede progress.
- Excellent organizational skills and a keen eye for detail.
- Strong computer skills with an emphasis on Microsoft Excel, Word, PPT, Photoshop.
- Strong communication skills to articulate ideas and concepts through quality execution of 3D/2D renderings.
- Proactive, organized, and detail-oriented with strong understanding of brand codes/materials.
- Enthusiastic and proactive orientation with a “can do” attitude.
- Able to travel up to 60% of the time domestically and internationally (Canada). Ability to travel at short notice on an ad-hoc basis.
- Able to work occasional overnights and outside regular work hours on ad hoc projects.
- 5-7+ years of retail visual merchandising experience; 2+ years of visual merchandising management experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Strong creative skills and work experience in footwear/and or apparel business.
- Advanced visual merchandising knowledge and understanding how visual merchandising supports the customer experience.
- Experience leading in-store/field merchandisers.

$90,000 - $95,000
The salary range posted reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this role in our the Tri-State market. Individual pay will be determined by location and additional factors, including job related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
