Interface is looking for a Manager, Visual Merchandising & Photography to support our FLOR brand by creating innovative visual selling environments that are unique, inspiring, and customer centric.

The Manager, Visual Merchandising & Photography is a key contributor to the the FLOR marketing team & IDS (Interface Design Studio) - creating and implementing product merchandising directives, overseeing all aspects of product photography and creative & brand standards to achieve the company’s goals around brand image, product presentation, and product sell through.

Essentials Functions:

  • Lead strategic & conceptual development of Interface & FLOR merchandising/marketing materials including sample books, catalogs, viewbooks, commercial lookbooks, website, etc
  • Support the FLOR product development process with Interface and external design partners
  • Provide FLOR product selection and oversee floor designs that incorporate FLOR for Interface showrooms/built spaces
  • Provide proactive and reactive merchandising recommendations to maximize sales, including utilization of key analytic merchandising reports to highlight top selling products and tactics.
  • Trend forecasting, creating seasonal & product launch color palettes, inspiration boards, and seasonal stories.
  • Manage agency partners, photographers’ relations, IT services, data management, and color house.
  • Manage photoshoot and creative budgets to ensure we remain on budget and maximize efficiencies wherever possible.
  • Order product for photoshoots (on location and studio drop-ins) and associated logistics.
  • Develop pre-photoshoot viewbook/catalog wireframes, pagination and floor designs.
  • Lead on location styling, product representation and overall shoot oversight.
  • Support the merchandising shoot process via pre-spread concepts, sample acquisition, prop and furniture identification, on location styling and propping, creative direction, and production.
  • Proof all photography and oversee color correction.


Educational requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Industrial Design, or Textile Sciences or related field preferred.

Skills and experience:

  • Experience in Photoshoot, styling & retouching/color correction management
  • Experience in web merchandising, requiring execution of merchandising plans.
  • Demonstrated understanding of effective product presentation and ability to translate concepts to finished product design.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, in person, on the phone and in writing.
  • 3-5 years of Interior Designer or Visual Merchandising experience in commercial or retail setting required.
  • Proficiency in the following programs preferred: Illustrator, Photoshop (including color correction), InDesign, Microsoft Office suite.

Travel Requirements:

  • Domestic travel for photoshoots, trade shows, customer meetings 20-30% of time
