Job description

The Role

Reporting to the VM Creative Manager, the role is accountable for driving the development of the customer experience in retail and concession for Mother's Day and Father's Day and key flagship moments.

Working closely with the VM Creative Manager and Store Design if required on all big moment requirements across Country Road and Trenery, from Windows, instore creative in retail and concession stores. The VM Designer contributes to the innovation of Country Road Retail, DJs & RSA store environments with sustainable and local attributes.

The Role

Reporting to the VM Creative Manager, the role is accountable for driving the development of the customer experience in retail and concession for Mother's Day and Father's Day and key flagship moments.

Working closely with the VM Creative Manager and Store Design if required on all big moment requirements across Country Road and Trenery, from Windows, instore creative in retail and concession stores. The VM Designer contributes to the innovation of Country Road Retail, DJs & RSA store environments with sustainable and local attributes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the research and design development for the Flagship experience around Mother's Day and Father's Day
  • Initial design concepts should be based on the Chadstone store for feedback from the leadership team
  • Partner with the creative lead and marketing to ensure alignment of concepts
  • Develop the Window, heart, gift wrapping and pause points creating an experience that works back with the product theme for April, May and June period for Mother's Day and August, September for Father's Day
  • Creative development needs to consider option counts and merchandising needs working closely with planning and the VM coordinators
  • Create detailed drawings and elevations of all production requirements for the production team along with allocations for budgeting
  • Post use considerations for recycling or repurpose should be considered as part of development
  • Understand global and market trends that are relevant for both Country Road and Trenery
  • Working back with design and retail look at the staff uniform for flagship stores that capture the essence of the creative direction
  • Understand how to activate exteriors of key flagship stores
  • Partner with marketing on the activation of outposts within centres that connect back to the creative direction
  • Clear communication around mannequin and fixture requirements for the Regional Managers to coordinate with regions
  • Working back with the concession teams identify opportunities for big brand moments on key locations to drive sales
  • Develop concepts to house gifting styles and to create excitement around the brand in the concession environment

Profile

The Ideal Candidate has

  • Experience in a similar role with a relevant VM degree/qualification
  • Strong fashion and interior design knowledge with an eye for detail
  • Adobe Indesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Sketch up 3D rendering and Microsoft Office suit skills
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage time and deadlines effectively
