Job Title: Apparel Designer (Women’s Senior Designer Knits )

Location - Hybrid (SFO, CA)

Pay rate: 40 to 50/hr. on W2

The purpose of this position is to be responsible for designing and creating innovative, commercially viable products that deliver value and style for Levi's Women's Knits as well as sustain the development, evolution, and communication of Levi's look that supports and deepens the brand value and identity.

About the Job:

Collaborate with Women’s Tops Director in developing seasonal concepts for Women’s Knits, including non-graphic tees and sweatshirts, and graphic tee and sweatshirt silhouettes.

Create and develop seasonal color and print stories for Women’s Knit Tops in collaboration with the Director.

Develop on-brand, trend-right products that drive equity and profitability for the Levi’s® brand and uphold our aesthetic standards.

Continuously research and monitor the consumer and marketplace to identify opportunities to stay ahead of the competition.

Understand and analyze current selling and consider when developing into future trends.

Manage two direct reports, leveraging LS&Co values to guide career paths and provide clear development opportunities.

Sustain effective partnerships with Merchandising, Product Development, and Sourcing to ensure products are engineered to profit and quality/aesthetic goals.

Manage team creation and execution of PLM BOM data integrity: protos, commercial samples, and production.

Strategize and drive GTM timelines, processes, and deliverables.

Skills & Qualifications:

A bachelor's degree in Apparel Design or a combination of college education and industry-related work experience may be used as a substitute

Experience as a designer, responsible for all facets of design and development

Expertise in textiles and product development; strong working knowledge of garment construction, patternmaking, fabric construction, fabric finishing techniques, and processes

Proficient on all design platforms – Adobe CC and PLM program

MS Office proficiency, Word, Excel, and Outlook

Ability to multi-task; with the desire to work in a very fast-paced environment and an ability to not become frustrated with last-minute changes

Effective interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills; especially when it comes to working directly with senior-level directors

Excellent discretion, judgment, tact and diplomacy

Must demonstrate an energetic, positive, helpful demeanor and a passion and interest in LS&Co.
