We are seeking a talented and creative Fashion Designer to help develop our new collection for Baby Step Boutique (babystepboutique.com).

As a fashion designer, you will play a crucial role in curating an inspiring and trendsetting collection that resonates with our target audience.

IMPORTANT TO NOTE: AT THIS STAGE WE NEED HELP WITH DEVELOPING A COLLECTION WITHOUT HAVING TO CREATE TECH PACKS AND DRAWINGS.

Responsibilities:

1. Inspiration of Collection: Draw inspiration from various sources such as music, art, culture, and history to create a unique and compelling collection.

2. Idea Generation: Generate innovative ideas that reflect current trends and consumer preferences, while staying true to our brand identity.

3. Gap Analysis Assessment: Conduct a thorough analysis of the local market to identify gaps and opportunities for our collection.

4. Consumer Preference: Utilize surveys, consumer feedback, and market research to understand and incorporate consumer preferences into the collection.

5. Emerging Trends: Stay updated with the latest trends and insights from reputable sources such as WGSN to ensure our collection is on the cutting edge.

6. Mood Board Development: Create visually appealing mood boards that capture the essence and theme of the collection.

7. Fabric, Pattern, Color, Texture Selection: Select suitable fabrics, patterns, colors, and textures that align with the collection's concept and target audience.

9. Presentation: Present the finalized collection concept, including mood boards for the team for review and approval.

Requirements:

- Proven experience as a Fashion Designer with a strong portfolio showcasing your design skills.

- Up-to-date knowledge of fashion trends, fabrics, and techniques.

- Strong ability to translate ideas into visual concepts and effectively communicate them.

- Proficiency in design software and tools.

- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
