Fashion Designer for Men's Clothing Brand - Tech Pack for Dress Shirt with Over Garment Design

We are a newly formed men's clothing brand specializing in high-quality apparel that combines classic style with modern functionality. As part of our launch, we are seeking an experienced fashion designer to create a comprehensive tech pack for a new line of dress shirts featuring an innovative over garment design, 2 in 1 combo. This is an innovative, patent pending design that we are hoping to nail!

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with team to understand the brand's aesthetic and target audience.

Develop detailed sketches and CAD drawings for the dress shirt with over garment design, considering both style and functionality.

Select appropriate fabrics and materials that meet our quality standards and desired performance attributes. Expertise in fabric selections, especially for technical garments, is essential.

Create a comprehensive tech pack including detailed measurements, construction specifications, and stitching details for manufacturing purposes.

Work closely with our production team to ensure the feasibility and cost-effectiveness of the design.

Provide revisions and adjustments as needed based on feedback from stakeholders.

Requirements:

Proven experience in fashion design, particularly in menswear, with a strong portfolio showcasing previous work.

Proficiency in CAD software and other design tools.

Excellent understanding of garment construction, fabric properties, and manufacturing processes.

Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Attention to detail and a passion for creating innovative and stylish clothing designs.

Experience with unique, patent-pending concepts in garment design will be highly regarded.

Ability to adhere to project timelines and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines.

Bonus points for candidates with connections to manufacturers and suppliers in the fashion industry.

Additional Information:

This is a remote freelance position with potential for long-term collaboration on future projects.

Candidates with experience in designing technical garments or innovative apparel designs will be given preference.
