This position is for leading the Junior mass-market brand.

We are looking for an energetic & organized Knit (Cut & Sew) garment designer for immediate hire with the qualities below.

Position Responsibilities:

Review and collaborate closely with the Designer or Senior Designer.

Demonstrate a positive attitude and be a strong team player.

Conceptualize and design into current trends as they relate to the Junior brand.

Sample shopping & returns, in person and online, from European and domestic markets for emerging trends and inspiration along.

Merchandise and present print, color, silhouette, fabrication, trends ideas, and inspiration for coming seasons.

Responsible for meeting with costing teams and creating recap charts for customer projects.

Organize original sample & proto-sample chart along with showroom.

Review and comment on proto sample layout & lab dips.

Strong communication & writing skills needed with Buyer/ Sales/ Factory.

Create tech packs along with proto spec, and detail pages and maintain proto sample as well as follow up to BOM.

Actively participate in "fitting" with technical design and production to ensure the proper fit of the garment.

Knowledge of spec measurement of garment for initial tech pack & review fitting adjustment.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced fashion environment & prioritize multiple projects.

Knowledge of Cut & Sew OR Woven fabrication.

Sleepwear or Kids wear Experience Plus.

Requirement:

2+ years of experience required.

Computer proficiency – Microsoft Office (Works, Excel,  PowerPoint), illustrator, and Outlook

Salary**: 60K ~75K     **the salary may vary based on individual experience and expertise.
