TITLE: Freelance Sr. Associate Print Accessories Designer - Private Label Division

SALARY RANGE: $70,000 - $75,000

STATUS: Full-time, temporary to permanent

REPORTS TO: Creative Director – Private Label

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Freelance Sr. Associate Print Accessories Designer - Private Label Division – will work both independently and in collaboration with the design team to conduct trend research for private label customers, design, clean, and color original artwork/prints, maintain line sheets, create and maintain tech packs, analyze and comment on samples from initial concept through to production approval process.

PRINCIPAL RELATIONSHIPS:

Freelance Sr. Associate Print Accessories Designer - Private Label Division – will regularly work with Design and Product Development teams.

TRAVEL:

Freelance Sr. Associate Print Accessories Designer - Private Label Division - will travel on an as-needed basis. In-office attendance is expected at least three times per week.

EXAMPLE DAILY TASKS:

-Create original artwork (prints, yarn dyes, embroideries, etc.) according to each customers’ needs.

-Scan, clean, color-reduce, and put into technical repeat artwork in Photoshop or Kaledo.

-Develop tech packs and enter spec details into PLM system

-Measure samples, take pictures, record information in PLM system.

-Communicate with factories to respond to questions in a timely manner to ensure all calendar deadlines are met.

-Collaborate with PD partners to call out changes that may affect costing or delivery.

-Present trend and product during internal concept, merchandising, and sales meetings.

SKILLS/CHARACTERISTICS:

-Bachelor's Degree in Patternmaking, Textiles or Fashion Design.

-5+ years of experience.

-Excellent artistic/drawing skills with a high level of creativity.

-Strong color sense with an ability to view and differentiate the color spectrum.

-Knowledge of printing, weaving, and dyeing techniques.

-Proficient skills in Adobe Creative Suite; Kaledo a plus.

-Working knowledge of PLM system

-Exceptional organization abilities with attention to detail and follow through.

-Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with team members at all levels of the organization.

-Strong presentation skills
