We have an opportunity to join our creative Shoe Design team as our new Junior Shoe Designer. In this role you will design and develop the Men’s and Women’s shoe collection to the seasonal brief as directed by the Head of Design. 

The Role:

•    To support design and development elements of the Men’s and Women’s seasonal shoe collection as directed by the Head of Design. 

•    To strictly adhere to the seasonal brief (direction and size) as outlined by the Head of Design.

•    To assist in communicating with suppliers regarding research and sampling when necessary. 

•    To support the completion of specification sheets for the shoe collection working alongside the Shoe Product Developers. 

•    To ensure the share drive archive is maintained with all graphic files organised and updated and all artwork is archived at the end of each season. 

•    To support in researching for images and ideas for shoe design projects. 

•    To support factory communications for the shoe collection making amendments on artwork as required, following through to the final stages of sample production. 

Your Skills and Experience:

•    Advanced computer literacy in Microsoft Office, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. Experience of working with design programs on Mac computers. 

• Experience of all aspects of shoe design in a commercial environment from research through to design development and creation of technical diagrams/specifications. 

•    Understanding of shoe construction and an understanding of lasts, their shapes and implications on fit. 

•    Ability to think creatively. 

•    Planning, prioritisation and organisational skills to time-bound deadlines and range plans.
