Looking For A Fashion Designer For An Activewear company - Contract to Hire

We are seeking a talented freelance fashion designer to collaborate with us on developing innovative and stylish activewear pieces. As a designer in this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute your creative vision to our activewear line. Our Activewear line includes windbreakers, matching sets, t-shirts, and shorts, and we will be looking to hire for a full-time position in the future, You must have an understanding on the current trends within UK Activewear market and work with us closely to create unique pieces to bring to the market

Responsibilities:

Collaborate closely with our team to understand project requirements, including design aesthetic, target audience, and brand positioning.

Conduct research on current trends, styles, and materials in activewear fashion.

Create original designs for activewear pieces, such as leggings, sports bras, tops, jackets, and accessories.

Develop detailed tech packs outlining design specifications, materials, construction methods, and sizing information.

Provide multiple design options and variations for each product category.

Incorporate feedback and revisions into design iterations to refine and finalize concepts.

Stay informed about industry developments, competitor offerings, and consumer preferences.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a fashion designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing expertise in activewear or sportswear design.

Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or similar tools.

Knowledge of garment construction, fabric properties, and manufacturing processes.

Strong creative vision and ability to translate concepts into compelling designs.

Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively remotely.

Attention to detail and ability to work efficiently to meet project deadlines.

Passion for activewear fashion and a keen interest in health, fitness, and lifestyle trends.
