Position Overview

The Manager, Strategic Sourcing is responsible for being a key conduit between store planning and Global procurement.Monitoring and assisting the intention of store design concepts to store opening. (insert zone/market name). This position is responsible for validating costs, in conjunction with the Americas Cost Control Manager, and in charge of potential local sourcing for store design elements while maintaining the store and brand image.

Key Accountabilities

Procurement & Delivery:

  • Project manage the procurement process by obtaining all internal information from global teams to obtain in accordance with global strategy.
  • Work on all local market store projects, ensuring all store design elements are considered and all contributing departments aligned with their responsibilities and associated timeframes.
  • Collaborate with the Project Architect during store layouts for each region.
  • Liaise with the Global Store Design/Interiors team to obtain information for FFE elements necessary to complete project delivery.
  • Work closely with all Store Planning project teams (Architects / PMs / CMs) to resolve design queries and keep on budget and programme.
  • Conduct preliminary reviews of sample submittals and shop drawings for design compliance if needed locally.
  • Maintain communication with cross-functional departments, including local and regional IT, Security, and Creative Visual Merchandising.
  • Implement global procurement target initiatives and strategies to achieve cost savings.
  • Conduct ongoing cost analysis to ensure global strategy is consistent and accurate.

Vendor Management:

  • Manage relationships and accounts with local and international vendors including production forecast, project prioritization, reliability and quality improvement.
  • Request, review compliance and sign all quotations to confirm approval and initiate production.
  • Responsible for ensuring each vendor is compliant with required contracts, agreements and relevant local/global policies.
  • Conduct quarterly and yearly vendor business reviews to keep track of spent and share with Global Procurement cost reduction opportunities.

Software Management:

  • Ensure Unifier contains correct and complete information

Sourcing, Research & Development:

  • Initiate market research for additional vendors to source existing interior design products, where legal parameters will allow. This includes cost reduction initiatives, improving production capabilities, customization, sample development and vendor compliance with durability requirements.
  • Look to the future stores and new store concept and get ahead of vendors, working closely with local and global procurement.
  • Identify opportunities with a sustainable focus.

Team Collaboration:

  • Create a positive, innovative, and collaborative culture of designers.
  • Provide guidance and direction to ensure engagement and hold individuals accountable for achieving results.
  • Ensure the alignment of individual goals with overall business objectives.
  • Lead and mentor junior team members.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Finance, Economics, Supply Management or Procurement
  • 5+ years of experience in procurement, vendor management, and strategic sourcing with deep expertise in Design, Construction, Utilities, Supplies, Fixtures, Finishes, Fabrics, Facilities Maintenance and Visual Merchandising
  • Experience with strategic sourcing and procurement globally
  • Excellent math and analytical skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work with suppliers and strong relationship management experience
  • Knowledge of global contracts
  • Experience managing large scale cost of procurement spends globally
  • Knowledge of supplier ecosystems and markets that serve Store Design, Construction, Interiors, visual displays, windows and associated categories globally and in the luxury market
  • Ability to manage multiple competing projects and priorities
  • Flexible and adaptable in a changing environment

The hiring range for this position ranges from $117,810 - 166,320. The rate of pay offered will be dependent upon candidates relevant skills and experience.
