The Merchandise Planner, Fabric will collaborate with planners, buyers, product development and the materials team as well as cross-functional business partners to drive financial results in maximizing sales, inventory levels and profitability. Will collaborate with the product managers to create fabric and leather projections, leveraging historical data and incorporating merchandise strategies and trends. This position is located onsite at our Corporate Office in Boston Heights, OH.

Key fundamental skill sets for this role will be:

  • Participate in pre-season planning with Cross Functional Product Teams
  • Develop fabric and leather plans, combining both Stock and Special Order, utilizing history, sales trends, Merchandise Planner forecasts, and market information to ensure accurate forecasting and inventory levels
  • Reconcile fabric forecasts with Item level forecasts.
  • Leverage historical data to identify key learnings around product, pricing, and inventory and apply learnings to future seasons.
  • Forecast fabric and leather by Vendor, Department and Mill
  • Track fabric in stocks to help ensure Stock and Special-Order deliveries on time
  • Plan exits of discontinued fabric, forecasting liabilities and communicating financial impact
  • Manage Minimum Order Quantities across multiple DCs to fulfill 95% service levels
  • Collaborate with Arhaus vendor partners to ensure accurate financial planning, inventory management and production ability
  • Partner with Allocation manager, Logistics and DC team to strategize inventory receipts before peak seasons
  • Develop and maintain weekly/monthly/weekly merchandise reports.
  • Analyze and assess the sales performance of product categories; revise in-season plans accordingly to maximize sales and profitability
  • Ensure planning and forecasting accuracy through knowledge of specific geographic store attribute performance through data analysis
  • Develop strong cross-functional partnerships with Merchandising, Store teams, Marketing, Visual, Product Development, Sourcing, and others to drive business results
  • Develop forecasts for new materials and strategize fabric ordering at the vendor level to ensure service levels at launch

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in Merchandise Planning, Demand Planning, Inventory Management, and/or Merchandising
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, collaborate and influence cross-functionally
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work in an ever-changing environment with efficiency and accuracy
  • Ability to analyze and report against financial metrics
  • Demonstrate create problem solving and outside the box thinking
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in MS Word and Excel Applications and data analytics
