This role at Answers in Genesis is in Product Sales and Distribution. This candidate is resourceful, team-oriented, highly analytical thinkers who can turn their thoughts into actions. The Visual Merchandiser is responsible for helping the store achieve its sales and profit goals by creating and maintaining an aesthetically pleasing store. Support key sales driving initiatives by creating impactful presentations of the product and resources. AIG is seeking a visual merchandiser to support the development and growth of products and resources sales for all retail spaces located within Ark Encounter and Creation Museum. This position is full time seasonal position. The primary location is the Creation Museum with some support and travel to Ark Encounter.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare schedules and reports as needed for Senior Management. Locate and compile information and format reports, graphs, tables, records, and other sources of information.
  • Coordinate multiple displays and planograms from conception to production working closely with supporting AiG departments.
  • Support in coordinating special events/seasons and implementing for the stores.
  • Prioritize and administer multiple tasks and follow through independently in a timely manner.
  • Set and maintain all planogram projects.
  • Responsible for merchandising, signing, and resets.
  • Support driving store sales and controls expenses.
  • Uses financial reporting to drive business opportunities.
  • Maintains merchandising protocols and procedures.
  • Maintains Marketing Plan, Signage, and other Merchandise Sets
  • Ensures the execution of company inventory process.
  • Assists in receiving and stocking procedures including setting min/max.
  • Frequently move merchandise weighing up to 25 lbs and places/removes merchandise up to a height of 5-10 feet and ascend/descend ladders to retrieve and put away stock. Frequently position self to kneel, bend, twist, and stoop in the stock room and on the sales floor.
  • Understand and reflect customer preferences through excellent product and resource presentation.
  • Champion visual merchandising best practices to influence the customer journey.
  • Implement the launch of new visual merchandising campaigns effectively.
  • Stages merchandise for the sales floor.
  • Provide feedback on successful product lines and trends.
  • Share visual merchandising best practices with other staff.
  • Maintain communication with store management on display changes and replenishment.
  • Support cost control initiatives related to stock and visual merchandising equipment.
  • Assist in day-to-day problem solving and user support, coordinating efforts to increase efficiency and communication.
  • Assist with product and vendor research.
  • Assist with Inventory maintenance and reordering.
  • All other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Desire to be a team player in an exciting God-centered ministry and willing to help wherever needed in a humble, gracious manner.
  • Willing and able to adapt to changes in policies, procedures, and work assignments.

  • Ability to travel between locations.

Education & Experience

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and other productivity tools.
  • High School Graduate or equivalent.
