Sleepwear Fashion Designer Needed To Design First Collection

Introduction:

We are looking for a skilled freelance fashion designer to collaborate with RESIDENCE, a new clothing brand focused on redefining sleepwear for women.

This opportunity offers the chance to create our first collection, shaping the foundation of our brand identity.

RESIDENCE is mid-luxury brand inspired by the effortless style of Australian fashion and the sophistication of European living.

Our mission is to revolutionise sleepwear, crafting pieces that blend comfort and elegance seamlessly.

We aim to empower women & make them feel put-together, whether they’re at home or stepping out for errands.

The brief:

- Work closely with our team to understand the brand vision, target audience, and design direction - see ref image.

- Translate our mood boards, conceptual ideas & our existing tech pack into cohesive designs for our debut collection.

- Develop detailed sketches, tech packs, and prototypes for review and iteration.

- Recommend premium-quality materials and trims that align with our brand’s aesthetic and values.

Process:

- Ahead of contracting & following an initial kick off call, the shortlisted designer will need to provide initial design inspirations to demonstrate alignment with our vision.

- When applying, please share your resume, portfolio, and any relevant references or case studies of products you’ve designed, demonstrating your design expertise, as well as rough project cost.

Estimated Deliverables

- Tech pack for 1 x Linen set inclusive of; Long-Sleeve Shirt, Shorts & Trousers

- Tech pack for 1 x Cotton set inclusive of; Long-Sleeve Shirt, Shorts & Trousers

- Tech pack and designs for any additional items chosen to fall part of this collection

Requirements:

- Proven experience in fashion design, with a focus on loungewear, sleepwear, or similar categories.

- Experience designing shirts, working with either linen / cotton

- Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite, along with strong sketching abilities.

- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams.
